Wayne Ashworth

General Manager Operations

B. Eng (Mechanical)

Wayne Ashworth is General Manager - Operations for Minara's Murrin Murrin Operations. He first joined Minara in January 2005 in the role of Mechanical Engineering and Maintanence Manager.

Mr Ashworth has spent 10 years working in similar process plants to Murrin Murrin, previously having been employed as Technical Consultant and Commissioning Manager for the Rio Tuba Nickel HPAL project located in the southern Philippines for JGC and Sumitomo, and at Bulong Nickel Operation as Maintenance Manager.

Neil Meadows

Projects Director
MSc (Metallurgy), GradDipBA

Neil Meadows is Minara's Projects Director, having recently transferred after 4 years at Minara's Murrin Murrin Operations as the General Manager - Operations. Mr Meadows previously worked with QNI (Queensland Nickel), part of the BHP Billiton group, as Operations Manager at their nickel refinery in North Queensland.

Prior to joining QNI, Mr Meadows was with Straits Resources initially as Senior Process Engineer and then as Processing Manager for the Nifty Copper Operation. Earlier he had worked as a Consulting Process Engineer with Ausenco Ltd.

Mr Meadows is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and chairman of the North Eastern Regional Council of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy.

David Pile

Chief Financial Officer
Bcomm, Bcompt (Hons), It. Dip Tax, CASA (South Africa)

David Pile joined Minara in May 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Minara, he was based in South Africa with BHP Billiton where he was most recently the CFO and Finance Director of Ingwe Colleries and its subsidiaries.

Mr Pile is a Chartered Accountant with comprehensive experience in a variety of industries including mining, forest products, agricultural and the automotive industries. He has also worked in Africa and South East Asia.

Jason Cooke

Business Development Manager
BE, MBA, F Fin

Jason Cooke joined Minara in 2001 as Business Development Manager. Prior to his current role he was employed by a subsidiary of Glencore International where he evaluated acquisitions and managed investments in base metal producers within Australia and offshore. Mr Cooke has 15 years experience in the mining and minerals industry having worked in both technical and financial roles.

David Readett

Group Manager, Project Development
B.E. Met. Eng, FAusIMM(CP)

Mr Readett is Minara's Group Manager, Project Development. He is a Chartered Professional Metallurgical Engineer with over 20 years experience in the mining and minerals industry. He has been employed in a variety of professional roles including Group Manager Processing and Engineering with Straits Resources Limited, Technical Services Manager with Cobre Las Cruces, Business Development Manager and Senior Process Engineer with CMPS&F as well as roles with Mount Isa Mines Limited, Pasminco Metals and the South Australian Institute of Technology.

Cynthia Sargent 

General Counsel & Company Secretary
BSL, JD

Cynthia Sargent was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary on 10 January 2008. Prior to joining the company Ms Sargent was a partner in the litigation department at Clayton Utz. Ms Sargent has extensive legal experience in Australia, South Africa and the USA.
