Applying for a job


How do I apply for a position with Minara?

The best way is to submit your resume through our online careers page. When you have completed the online application process, your resume is stored in our resume database, which is regularly searched by our recruitment team.

Can I fax my application to you?

Unfortunately, we do not accept applications via fax. It is in your interest to apply online so that your application is electronically stored in our resume database. This will allow us to review your application for other opportunities that may come available.

How can I communicate directly with a Minara’s Human Resources team or hiring manager?

Due to the high volume of interest in opportunities with our company, it is not realistically possible for our HR Team or hiring managers to liaise with every candidate. A member of our recruitment team will contact you should your skills and experience match one of our opportunities.

I applied online before and have forgotten my password!

When you applied the first time for position online you were asked to enter an email address (your Username) and create a password and a secret question.

In the event that you forget your password, you go to the Minara website and choose Existing Applicant Login under Working at Minara. There you enter your email address and then click "Forgotten my password". This will generate the secret question you were asked to enter when you first created your account. Once you answered this question correctly, an email with a new password will be sent to your email account within a few minutes.

I do not have any experience in the mining industry can I still apply?

Whilst experience in the mining industry is desirable for all positions, for some roles your relevant work experience and qualifications will play a more important factor in your application than your mining experience.

If you have neither the relevant work experience nor the mining experience we recommend that you contact an organisation such as Richards Mining Services that offers courses and traineeships for individuals who want to gain employment in this industry.

What is the length of time a job remains posted?

Most of our positions do not have a closing date advertised. This is because we will keep a position advertised until it has been filled.

How often are new jobs posted on your website?

We post jobs as they become available. Therefore we recommend you visit our website often and perform a Job Search.

Can I apply for more than one job at a time?

Yes, you are more than welcome to apply for as many jobs as you like if you feel your skills match the job requirements.

I have applied for a job, what happens next?

Once you have submitted your application online you will receive a confirmation email advising you that we received your application. We will then review your skills and experience, and inform you if your application has been shortlisted. A member of the Recruitment Team will be in contact with you should we wish to progress your application. The recruitment process will generally involve a phone interview in the first instance, followed by a site visit depending on the position, a medical and reference checks. Depending on the role you have applied for further assessments may be part of the process. You will be advised at the time of the interview if this is a requirement.

If you are not successful, we will retain your resume in our database. Should a future position match your skills and experience we will contact you.
